I’ve been going through a bad patch at the moment so that’s why it’s been rather quiet around here. Hopefully, this entry will liven things up a bit! Yes, I’m looking for admin staff to help build up this group.

Before I go into detail, I request that anyone who becomes an admin will:
:bulletred: Be flexible time-wise and able to invest time and effort into the group.
:bulletred: If, for whatever reason, you need to take a break or step down as admin, tell me as soon as possible!
:bulletred: If you feel that I am neglecting the group, or could be more pro-active, then tell me. I’m prone to go through periods of being super-active to hardly visiting. If I do this, just give me a nudge or a slap on the wrist.
:bulletred: If you want to switch roles, be given more/less responsibility then let me know.

:bulletblack: Advertising :bulletblack:

Those part of the advertising team are expected to send out affiliate notices to appropriate groups, invite members to join Penpa and to post in the Group forum about the group. Your task is to get the word out there but to not go overboard. I would prefer a steady number of views a week rather than a big spike in a single day. When a contest has been organised, I would like you to create a journal about the group’s contest or provide a link in your signature.

Positions open: 1

:bulletblack: Critiquers :bulletblack:

This team would be focusing on Penpa’s ‘Critique’ folder. A schedule will be created so that you can put some time aside to read and critique on these submissions. Am looking for individuals aged 18+ as any submissions tagged as mature won’t be a problem. I don’t mind if the Critique team work together or alone but it has to be done.
If you’re interested then please remember that you have to have to be constructive but respectful to members. Your job is to help members, offering advice and adjustments. Being a critique is not about flattery or being deconstructive.

Positions open: 2

:bulletblack: Voting and commenting on submissions :bulletblack:

While the other jobs are role specific, this is very general. Currently, this group receives a few submissions on a day to day basis so it’s not a particularly heavy job.
Your tasks are as follows:
:pointr: Vote on submissions.
:pointr: Comment on submissions.
:pointr: Clean up gallery folders.

Positions open: 2

At this point in time, that’s the number of staff that I need. I have created more roles and responsibilities so there will be another chance for you to become an admin. I’m quite an organised person so be prepared for ‘staff meetings’ and discussions on group events, projects and how to improve the group.

If you have any questions or you’re interested in becoming a staff member, then please comment on this journal.

Hello! If there is still a position open for advertising, I'd like to apply for that position. :aww:

#dAWishingWell: Copyright, Etiquette & Admissions admin for two months. (current)
#deviantHEART: Chat Event Moderator and Gallery Moderator for one month. (current)
#Through-a-Lens Gallery Moderator for two weeks. (current)
#Rising-Artists Gallery Moderator and Critiquer for one month. (past)

I apologize for not being able to judge the "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" contest, as there was a huge family crisis. Luckily, the tides have calmed in my life, and I would love to help advertise the group. I am also available to make blogs, contribute my own works if needed, and moderate the gallery. :aww:

I hope you will consider me!

If you still need a critiquer, I wouldn't mind offering my help. I am 18, so age would not be a problem. However, I am quite a "harsh" critic, so my critiques are not intended for those who simply cannot take criticism.

I can do critiquing if you still need. I am a critic in two other groups and an admin in another group who's focus is to teach people how to critique literature.

I would really welcome the opportunity to be a Contributor. I have a LOT of free time and I have a couple of groups of my own. I'm always looking for something extra to do to take up a little bit more of that excess time.

My name is Donya, if you feel that it's necessary to know that. :)

No comments? :O

Okay, well I'd like to step up! Critiquing would be enjoyable for me, but as I am under 18 I guess that won't be possible. I'd like to be a contributor, if that's okay - I don't have an enormous amount of time currently, my computer time will probably be limited to an hour or less, but I can always sneak on at school! :giggle:

In case you don't remember me, I'm Crystal - I helped out judging the Beauty contest and quite enjoyed it. :) I do have one question - what exactly is voting on submissions? :O_o:

Apologies for the late reply! I've been having a bit of a weird week. :slow:

Voting on submissions means to decline or accept that have been submitted to the group. That's all it is, really.
If you're still up for it, I'll be sending you an invitation to be a contributor, probably over the weekend. I've got to tidy the group the group up and change the settings first so that might take a little while.

Agh, don't worry, me too - this is the newest comment in my inbox of 74 and it's a day old! :faint: I blame it on NaNo, it is eating me alive. In a good, fun way. :paranoid:
Sure, I'll look forward to it! :D
